Thanksgiving is right around the corner and if you’re hosting this year it is time to start thinking of your tablescape for the big day! Even if you are only having a few people over or are wanting it to be super casual you don’t have to compromise on style. We put together a cozy tablescape that incorporates different patterns and textures while also remaining functional. Ideally your tablescape shouldn’t stop you from seeing/conversing with your company. If you are wanting to use a large vase with pretty fall flowers, do it! BUT, make sure you can move it to another spot on the table or remove it altogether without compromising all the details you spent time working on. Think about design, but also think about functionality because let’s be realistic, this day is meant to be about good company – the décor is just the icing on the cake!
It was important to us to create an inviting and warm tablescape this holiday season. The hints of green and gold mixed with bright whites and cool grays really created a sense of balance. In any color scheme we like to add a pop of color - here we added some greenery mixed with deep burgundy. Don’t be afraid to mix metals or patterns. If you’re worried just start with two! Here we mixed horizontal stripes with a romantic leaf pattern.
At then end of the day, have fun! We had a blast putting this together and even got to enjoy the food after we were done.
We hope you have an awesome holiday season!
